Weight Watcher’s Weekly Weigh in #6

Whew what a week and weekend I had! Normally I would get discouraged by my weight loss, or lack thereof, not to mention with the busy-ness of life lately, I sometimes find it hard to track my food and find time to exercise. But, since I started tracking my progress on video as well as here on my blog, I find it much easier to keep pushing onward toward my goals. So, without further ado, here is this week’s weigh in results…plus other news and updates and a question for you! Enjoy!

So, what do you think? Weight Watchers or Jillian Michaels? Let me know! :)

  1. Hey, take it from a woman who has nearly hamstrung herself, if your joints start protesting, back off. Muscle tenderness is one thing, joint pain is a whole other thing. It’s so easy to overtax them without realizing it, and it can cause you a world of hurt down the road. Better to just do a few and build up than push through the pain and not be able to use the joint for a week.

    Keep on keeping on.

As for the question, I haven’t tried either one, so I couldn’t say. Sorry.

  2. I had to give up the squat challenge because of my knees! I made it up to 120 but I could hardly walk today because my knees hurt so bad. Every time I do a squat now my knees pop and crack (not good I’m sure). So I’m not doing anything right now until the pain in my knees goes away.

Anyways it sounds like you did really good with allowing yourself to eat things but in smaller portions which is the best way to go :- )

    I’m all about Weight Watcher’s.

Oh hey this is totally off topic but the Verbal Confidence link you have in the sidebar needs to be changed. We’ve moved to a new system so the links have all changed now!

I love Weight Watchers and I love Jillian Michaels 30 day Shred – you can do both. If you are asking about her food plan, I have no clue what that is, but I imagine it is much more restrictive than WW. I like WW because I don’t have guilt if I eat a cookie, I just have to count those points. On more restrictive plans where what you can and cannot eat is in black and white, I get super guilty if I have sweets or overeat and then my guilt snowballs into emotional eating, at which I am a gold medalist btw. So, my thoughts are stick with WW and get some Jillian dvd workouts.

  5. I just wanted to chime in and say that you’re right to let things go regarding certain exercise when you experience pain. I suffer from chronic pain and I have to limit my movement too.

You’re doing great. I understand about Greasy Pizza. Doing these videos are really powerful aren’t they?

Thanks Stephanie! Yes, the videos are amazing. It’s like a virtual WW meeting…only on a much larger scale:) Just knowing I’m going to be stepping on that scale for the world to see the results helps me stay focused and motivated through the week.
